Trip to Denver Botanical Gardens – Dale Chihuly

August 9, 2015

A fantastic journey through Denver!  While it may be the 21st most populated metropolis in the country, with 2.7 million people, it doesn’t feel like it. Denver is a great city, with character, culture and friendly people. Visiting my dad and stepmom in Boulder is always such a treat.

Last year I visited Boulder (from Florida – sea level), I got off the airplane, and found my dad standing in the normal spot I always find him in, beside the statue in the Denver airport.  I always manage to sneak up to him without him noticing and the look of surprise of my arrival is always nice to see. July is always such a good time to witness so much beauty in the nature of the mountains, there’s so much green!20140724_200254

It was our first trip to visit the Denver Botanical Gardens – which happened to have a Dale Chihuly Art exhibit throughout.  Dale Chihuly is so talented, his glass accented an already beautiful garden.

The Denver Botanical Gardens has to be my favorite garden I’ve visited so far besides the Morikami gardens in Florida.  It is magical the way the glass sculptures seemed to fit so naturally. His installation at the Denver Botanic Gardens is simply stunning.

T20140724_200857hank you, Dale Chihuly, for making the world a more beautiful place, and thank you Denver Botanic Garden for hosting such a spectacular display!

Fun trip, I can’t wait to go back.
